THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Six people who came from China are under observation on suspicion of being affected by the novel coronavirus. Four are under observation in Thiruvananthapuram Medical College and two in General Hospital. Hospital sources said the health condition of them admitted in isolation wards are satisfactory. They will be discharged only after the results of their blood samples are obtained.

A floor in the super speciality block of the medical college was completely transformed into an isolation ward. All four are under observation in the room on the ground floor. Tenth ward in the General Hospital was transformed to corona isolation ward. Two youths who came from China are under observation here. The test results of one of them will be obtained today.

Four medical students hailing from Alappuzha who were in the same flight along with the student who tested positive of the virus and is undergoing treatment at Thrissur Medical College, have been admitted at Alappuzha Medical College Hospital. One of their parents have been admitted at Alappuzha General Hospital. All were admitted at the isolation ward last evening. The four are classmates of the girl from Thrissur. A student of Cherthala taluk and her parents reached the hospital first. Soon another student reached the hospital.

Even though there are 10 beds in the isolation ward of the medical college hospital, the arrangements are only for four beds. Nearly 20 students have reached the state along with the virus affected.
