NEW DELHI: Air India’s second flight with 323 Indians onboard from China’s Wuhan following the outbreak of coronovirus will reach Delhi in the morning. Students including 300 Indians are in the flight. They are expected to reach Delhi by 9.20 am. Students from Kerala are also in the flight.
The first Air India flight, a specially-prepped Boeing 747 brought back 324 Indians stranded in Wuhan on Saturday. Among those who returned were three minors and 211 students. They are accommodated at the army camp in Manesar and ITBP camps. The team reaching today will be examined by a team of expert doctors and then will be shifted to these two centres. They will be kept under surveillance for 14 days and will be sent to their native places only after that. The health ministry has appointed expert doctors and other officials at the camp functioning with the help of the army. Those coming from China have been directed to skip public functions for a month.
Meantime, the virus has killed 304 people in China. On Sunday alone, 45 people have died of the virus. Most of the dead are from Hubei Province. The virus has been confirmed on 14,499 people in and outside China, according to news agency AFP. The virus has so far spread to 27 countries.
