THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Poonjar MLA and Janapaksham leader PC George on Monday came up supporting the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) passed by the central government. While stating that nobody will lose their citizenship because of the CAA, George added that the LDF has been spreading lies to instil fear in the minds of the Muslim people.

The Poonjar MLA made the statements while speaking in the Legislative Assembly. It must be noted that George had openly criticized the CAA some months back. He had even backed the state's protest against the Central government's move and had also demanded the people of Kerala to intensify their protest against the CAA.
