Actor siblings Prithviraj and Indrajith are two favorite actors of the Keralites. The two shot to fame by their own acting style and won the hearts of the audience. The two followed their footsteps of their parents. When one shone as an actor, the other excelled in villain roles. Mallika Sukumaran, mother of the two, had earlier mentioned that the eldest Indran has her character and the youngest is like his father. Mallika now answers the question of which among the two is her favourite.
‘Indran (Indrajith) first acted in a telefilm with Abhirami. Director Vinayan happened to see this video and cast him in ‘Oomapenninu Uriyada Payyan’. Indran was already employed. He passed engineering with distinction and was working in an off shore centre in Chennai which has its base in US owned by my cousin. He acted in ‘Oomapenninu Uriyada Payyan’ seven months after entering the job.
‘Raju’s (Prithviraj) education in Australia taught him many things. Both have a good habit of reading. Indran is more on singing and Raju on books. Asking which one of the two is better in acting is like asking which eye you like right eye or the left one. The two have different styles. Youngsters say ‘Wow’ on seeing Prithvi’s colour, glamour and cooling glasses. They have told me also.’
Indran is basically a very good actor. Indran turned hero after doing all kinds of characters. Raju became a hero in his first film itself. So, he stuck on that. Young generation like Prithvi more as a hero. But whenever I go out, people say Indran is a good actor, Mallika said during a channel programme.
