NEW DELHI: The Jamia Millia University on Tuesday witnessed tension after a group of people conducted a rally supporting the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) outside the university campus. People, who took part in the rally, were seen waving the national flag while raising provocative slogans against the anti-CAA protestors.

The people who took part were heard raising the slogan, 'shoot the traitors of the country'. However, the mob was stopped midway by the Delhi police as they felt that the situation might turn violent. It is learnt that many of those who participated in the rally have been detained by the police.

It must be noted that the students of the Jamia Millia university have been very much active in the protest against the CAA. The university has also witnessed three incidents of firing against the anti-CAA protestors in the last five days.
