THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actress Swara Bhaskar took to Twitter to praise Chalakkudy MP Benny Behanan for raising regarding 'love jihad' in the Parliament.

Union Minister of State for Home, Nityanand Rai, had informed the Lok Sabha that no case of love jihad was been reported in Kerala. Two cases from Kerala involving inter-faith marriages have been investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
The minister made the remarks in a written reply to a question by Congress leader Benny Behanan from Kerala whether any of the central agencies have reported any case of love jihad from the southern state during the last two years. Earlier, Swara has tweeted thanking Sumit Kashyap in the issue. In response, Kashyap tweeted it was Benny Behanan who brought it up in the parliament and the actress extended her praise to the lawmaker from Kerala.
The minister said no case of love jihad has been reported in Kerala.
The Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the term love jihad is not defined under the extant laws and questions regarding the same cannot be given in writing.
