NEW DELHI: In a recent development, India has expressed its willingness to airlift the Pakistani students who are stuck in the coronavirus-hit Wuhan in China. It was Ravish Kumar, the Spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, who said that India is ready to rescue the Pakistani students if the Pakistani government requests so.
Earlier, several Pakistani citizens from Wuhan had requested the Pakistan government to airlift them soon. However, Pakistan has been reluctant to evacuate them citing "larger interests " of the region and the world. It must be noted that the Pakistan government's stand regarding the evacuation has been subjected to widespread criticism among its citizens.
