NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday announced the constitution of the 15 member trust that will oversee the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The trust named 'Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra' will have 9 permanent members and 6 nominated members.

The constitution of the trust was announced by the Prime Minister soon after the trust was given approval by the Union Cabinet. According to the government, the trust will be making decisions related to the construction of the temple based on nine rules.

Rules

1. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra will have a permanent office that will be discussed in its first meeting. The first meeting of the trust will be held at R-20, Greater Kailash Part 1.

2. The trust will be free to take every decision regarding the construction of the temple complex which includes kitchen, gaushala, museum and sarai.

3. The trustees will not have any salary. However, their expenses during the journey will be looked after by the trust.

4. The members can legally accept donations and grants from any person or institution. They are also allowed to take a loan.

5. These donations must be used only for the work of the trust.

6. The investment for the existing funds for the construction of the temple will be decided by the trust.

7. The members of the trust will not be able to send any immovable property which is associated with the trust.

8. The trust must keep account of donations and expenses received for the temple.

9. The meetings of the board of trustees will be presided by one trust member who will be appointed as president-managing trustee.
