PEERUMEDU: Even if you have won the lottery, you won’t get the prize money if this part of the lottery ticket has faint print. Such an incident happened at Kattappana. The ticket with number 967160 under 12 serials won Rs 100 each. One of them could not be enchased as the Lottery officer explained that the winner couldn’t be given the money as the bar code of the ticket was not visible. He attributed this effect to the error during the time of printing.
By the way, the lottery ticket owner is getting ready for legal action. The 12 tickets were bought by Pambanar Ranikovil native Murukeshan from a lucky centre at Vandiperiyattu. When Murukeshan contacted the agency regarding the faint print on his lottery ticket, he was told that his money would be refunded if he returned the ticket.
