THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The BJP has appointed K. Surendran as its president in Kerala. The announcement was made by BJP president JP Nadda. Surendran was the state general secretary of BJP. After appointing PS Sreedharan Pillai as Mizoram governor, the post of state president was left vacant.
The appointment comes with a view for the upcoming elections as the party thinks Surendran can strengthen the party. Surendran had led BJP from the forefront in several protests.
