THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The health condition of Vava Suresh undergoing treatment at a hospital following a snakebite is satisfactory, said Health Minister K K Shailaja. He has been shifted to a special ward for better treatment. A medical board has been formed for it, the minister said. Medicine department chief Dr Ravi Kumar Kurup, Prof Dr Aruna, critical care associate professor Dr Anil Satyadas and haematology department additional professor Dr Sreenath are the members of the board. Visitors are strictly controlled as there are chances for him to get infection.

A poisonous viper bit him last Thursday at Pathanapuram. After giving first aid, he was shifted to medical college hospital. Some online sites are found circulating news that he is in a critical condition. Through a Facebook post, Vava Suresh himself clarified that his health condition is satisfactory. He expressed his gratitude to all his well-wishers for the speedy recovery.
