COIMBATORE: The driver of the container lorry responsible for the Avinashi bus accident surrendered. He has been identified as Hemaraj, a native of Palakkad. The container lorry jumped the divider and hit the KSRTC Volvo bus going to Ernakulam from Bengaluru. 19 bus passengers have died so far. The accident happened at Avinashi town in Tirupur near Coimbatore. The lorry carrying tiles from Kerala hit the bus. Ten people died on the spot itself.
