The demise of 8 Malayalis in a resort in Nepal last month had shocked the entire state. The tourists, members of two families that hailed from Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode, were found dead in the Everest Panorama resort in Daman after they inhaled a poisonous gas following a leakage. The deceased included Ranjith Kumar (39), his wife Indulakshmi(34), and son Vaishnav (2). Ranjith's elder son Madhav had survived as he had stayed in another room.

Now actor Mohanlal has come up with a note expressing his thoughts about Madhav.

'Though it has been one month since disaster struck the family, the innocent face of Madhav hasn't faded away from my thoughts. I have also come across several pictures and reports stating that the child has not realized the magnitude of his loss. He isn't old enough to know about the principles of the world and the realities of life. I get disturbed whenever I wonder whether the child was able to sleep peacefully after the incident.

For me, Madhav reminds us that life is even more saddening than death. How far should he move alone in life? How will his father, mother and brother come to his thoughts? All these questions are giving me sleepless nights', Mohanlal wrote.

The actor also shared his concerns about those children who are facing various kinds of difficulties and oppression in life. 'Several children across the world are facing difficulties due to various reasons. There might be social causes for these sufferings but, we have to realise that it is the younger generation that is affected the most.

Mohanlal also took the opportunity to praise Nobel prize winner Kailash Sathyarthy for his efforts to improve the condition of children. 'Kailash Sathyarthy has dedicated his entire life for children and is continuing to do so. We need more such great men as there are so many children who are facing difficulties around us,' he added.
