PALAKKAD: A youth has been arrested for posting a video pertaining to spreading religious hatred through Facebook. The youth arrested has been identified as Sreejith Ravi of Attapadi. The Agali Police has registered a case against him on charges of trying to spread religious hatred.

State police chief Lokanath Behera had yesterday promised to take strong action against those who spread communal messages in Thiruvananthapuram through social media. “All messages and forwarded messages on social media will be under the direct observation of the police. Police force under the headship of district police chiefs will be ready to meet all exigencies across the state,” the police had clarified via a Facebook post.
