KANNUR: The police dramatically apprehended a quotation gang who came targeting a trader at Thavakkara in Kannur. The incident happened last week. Police reached the spot following an information that a quotation gang is coming to attack a trader related to some financial dealings. In order to mislead the police, they barged into a mosque nearby and shouted ‘Bolo Thakbir' slogans. Hearing that some standing there also joined them. When they tried to flee shouting Inquilab Zindabad, the police caught them.

More force reached the spot and nabbed them when they tried to manhandle the police and escape. A case has been registered against them for manhandling the police and destroying vehicles. Shemeem, Noufal and Vishnu are those arrested. Shemeem has a criminal background and is involved in many cases.
