THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The inquest report has mentioned that there are no bruises or injuries in the body of the six-year-old Devanandha recovered from Ithikkara River in Kollam. Initial reports say there were no signs of using force also. The girl who went missing yesterday was found from Ithikkara River near her house Friday morning. Her relatives, neighbours and local residents had raised suspicion on her death.
All her clothes were in her body. The police were not able to find any injuries or signs of using force. Her shawl was found from nearby. Her body has been taken to Thiruvananthapuram medical college for post-mortem. Police said scientific tests will also be conducted.
She was the daughter of Pradeep Kumar and Dhanya. She was a class one student of Saraswathy Vidyanikethan in Vakkanad. Her mother and her four-month-old brother were at home when she went missing. Putting the baby to sleep, her mother had gone out of the house to wash clothes. Devanandha was playing in front of her house at that time.
When Devanandha came near her mother, she asked her to go inside and be with the baby. When Dhanya returned after washing clothes, she found the front door of the house fully open and she was found missing.
