MALAPPURAM: In a tragic incident, a 12-year-old boy died on Friday after he accidentally strangled himself with a rope while playing. The incident took place near Areekode in Malappuram.

According to sources, the boy was playing in front of his house when he strangled himself with the rope. Though he was immediately rushed to the nearby hospitals, his life could not be saved.
