THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Weather experts have said if there are no rains soon, there are chances for heat waves in Kerala. Heat waves will be experienced in Palakkad, Punalur and Kottayam.

Intense climatic variations are now happening in Kerala and the summer will intensify further, according to India Meteorological Department.

In the forecast issued by the department in 2020, it is said that there are chances for the temperature to increase above the normal summer temperature.

The maximum temperature this time will be approximately 0.86 degree more than the normal maximum temperature from March to May and hike in minimum temperature will be by approximately by .83 degrees Celsius.

Indian Meteorological department says there will be overall high temperature in the country. In Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan the maximum temperature will be more this time by 1 degree Celsius.
