THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 12th standard CBSE Physics public exam turned out to be an arduous task for the students as the questions were mostly above the academic level. Teachers said the exam appeared by CBSE students in Kerala was of the IIT level.
Earlier, the sample question prepared prior to the public exam was comparatively easy. So it was totally unexpected for the students as well as the teacher, as the questions proved to be tough even for the brightest of students. Students who usually score below average are under the impression that they might even fail the exam. The written exam was of 70 marks and the remaining 30 marks are for practicals.
In order to pass the exam, a student must secure 33 percentage marks (28 marks).
While the Physics exam in Ernakulam region (includes entire Kerala CBSE students) was challenging, questions in the Chennai region was comparatively easy.
