KOLLAM: In a tragic incident, a five-year-old boy who was sleeping with his parents died after bitten by a snake. The child has been identified as Sivajith, a LKG student and son of Manikuttan. The incident happened at Puthur in Kollam. The snake bit him at 5 am Tuesday morning.

When the child told his mother that something bit him on his leg she saw two marks and noticed oozing of blood. Soon he was taken to a Vaidyan nearby. His health condition worsened when he was brought home from there.

The family soon took him to a nearby private hospital and from there to taluk hospital in Kottarakkara, but his life could not be saved.
