AMBALAPPUZHA: Harippad Pallippadu Valethu house Haridasan (45), who returned home from Malaysia on Wednesday after undergoing physical torture at the hands of his employer there, has been admitted to Alappuzha Medical College.

There are burns and marks of beating using wooden planks all over his body. A ear has got damaged and there are also beating marks behind his head.
Haridasan who alighted flight in Chennai from Kuala Lumpur at around 4:30 pm travelled on train to Coimbatore and from there to Shoranur.

Haridasan’s employer in Malaysia is a Tamil Nadu native and he, who settled there years ago, is the owner of several establishments there now. He says that he was beaten after he asked for seven months’ salary arrears and salary increment.

He was beaten with wooden planks after being falsely alleged that the money he had stored in his box was the stolen money.

Later he was taken to the godown of a jewellery.

According to him, a heated iron player was used to inflict burns on his body. Then he was locked up in a room without food or water for two days. A few humane workers managed to give him a little food.

He was kept locked up for 26 days but as his injuries worsened, a few workers gave him spray and ointment.

He was later shifted to another shop. There some workers took the photos of his bruises and sent them to his relatives.

The employer finally sent him back after relatives pressured him through Malayali Samjam and NORKA.
