THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited and KSIDC on Thursday signed deals to install solar plants across Kerala. The project will produce 33 megawatts of electricity from solar power. Reliance Jio Kerala chief KC Narendran, KSIDC MD G Rajamanikyam signed the MoU in the presence of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Electricity Minister MM Mani, and Finance Principal Secretary Dr K Elangovan

As per the agreement, Jio will invest Rs 300 crores to install solar plants in the state. The discussions on the project began at the Ascend Kerala 2020-a meet of the global investors held in Kochi in January.
