The arrested woman is Tamil Nadu Pollachi native Jyothilingam (76).

She has confessed to the police that he was brought to Kollam in a lorry by a person called Mayillannan and a doctor had offered her money if she brought a child to him.

Meanwhile, the investigation officer said that Jyothilingam had been making contradictory statements and she needed to examined for mental illness. She will be produced in the court on the basis of the medical report.
