On its official Facebook page, Kerala police have informed that charges of State police stations will be in the hands of women officers on the Women’s day on Saturday.

March 8 – International Women’s Day – ‘Tomorrow’s safety is in the hands of women’

On the International Women’s Day on Sunday, women’s police officers will be in charge of Station House officers in maximum possible number of stations across the State.
Tomorrow, in the escort vehicles of the chief minister also, there will be women commandos. Women commandos will also be deployed at the official house (Cliff House). There will be women guards on duty at the chief minister’s office at Secretariate North Block, as well…

Women officers will take charge as station officers in police stations where there are women inspectors and sub-inspectors. If there are more than one women sub-inspectors in stations, her service will be made available to nearby stations. In places where there are no women officers, the DGP will take steps to appoint Women senior civil police officers and Civil police officers as station heads.

The above arrangements are on account of declaration of this year as the year of women’s safety.
