Lucifer, born out of Mohanlal-Prithviraj freindship, was a super hit. It turned out to be one of the best pictures of 2019. It was also a much-awaited film as it was Prithvi’s first directorial venture.

Murali Gopy’s script and presence of Mohanlal, Manju Warrier and Vivek Oberoi also made it a curious watch for Malayalam cinema-goers. Prithviraj’s first attempt as a director brought out his hidden talent in film-making. As Lucifer’s second part –Empuraan is getting ready, producer Antony Perumbavoor has opened up on the actor-director.

“In order to do Empuraan, Prithvi will have to forgo at least five films. It is difficult to get a director with such a sincerity. Sooner rather than later, Prithviraj will find a place among India’s frontline hit makers. After watching Lucifer, Rajinikanth and Shahrukh Khan had called him. I’m in an attempt to utilise him before they take him away…” Antony said.

He said this in an interview given to a prominent media.
