THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As the state is facing yet another threat of coronavirus spread, attempts were made to hack the e-health website of the health department. However, Health Minister KK Shailaja has informed that no documents were lost from the website.

"There has been an attempt to hack the website. However, no details were lost as we have proper facilities to defend any sort of cyberattack,' the minister said.

"Only the primary details regarding the e-health facility were included in the e-health website. At present, there is a strong system that identifies all kinds of external interactions and hacking efforts at once and provides a strong defense mechanism. We have also taken the necessary steps to block all the documents on the website once the hack attempt was made," she added.

The minister went on to add that no details were lost as the details regarding the e-health project and its file flow design were hosted by State Data Centre owned by the state government.
