PERUMBAVUR: A visually challenged woman has been robbed of lottery tickets, which he had bought for sale. The victim is one Lisy George who sells lottery on the wayside. The incident happened at 8 in the morning on P P Road between Onamkulam and Meprathupadi.

A biker approached Lisy, took the bunch of tickets from under pretext of seeing it and made away with it. Lisy said she could not identify the culprit. The robbed tickets included 122 lottery tickets worth Rs 4800.

Lottery sale is the only means of living for Lisy who is living on a Puramboke land. This is for the second time that Lisy is being duped.

Six months ago another person had robbed her of tickets in a similar manner. This time, however, the police have been informed.

Meprathupadi Thundathil Agencies owner Raju Thundathil who reached the spot after coming to know about the incident, gave Rs 4000 to Lisy for buying new tickets.
