p-k-kunjananthan

VATAKARA: P K Kunjananthan, accused in the murder case of RMP leader T P Chandrasekharan, has been granted bail. He was granted bail based on the report of medical board demanding better treatment for him. Kunjananthan had the beginning of this month approached the high court seeking bail after cancelling his punishment. He had mentioned that he is having difficulties physically and mentally. He filed the plea pointing that the treatment in jail is not curing his illness.

The trial court had sentenced Kunjananthan, a CPM Panur area committee member to life in January 2014 in a conspiracy case. A fine of Rs 1,00,000 was also imposed on him. He is the 13th accused in the TP murder case. The high court had earlier criticised for granting him parole continuously.
