The undeclared ban on director Vinayan by film organizations AMMA and FEFKA was a catalyst for big discussions. Years later, in 2017, Vinayan's ban was lifted by the Competition Commission of India. Now, this order has been upheld by the National Company of Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT). The appeals of AMMA and FEFKA questioning the order was dismissed. On this occasion, the director has expressed his gratitude to all those who supported him in his period of crisis.

"Our friends argued against me with the most expensive of advocates in India. It's simple for rich entrepreneurs. The master brain behind all these mischiefs is a prominent person in cinema who is a theatre owner and movie producer. The lies, betrayal and the relations that come with it are all temporary my friend... the truth will prevail through the struggles", Vinayan wrote on Facebook.
