PERUMBAVOOR: Three including a pregnant woman were killed when the car in which they were travelling hit a parked lorry laden with timber in Perumbavoor. The dead has been identified as Haneefa (29) of Malappuram, his wife Sumayya and his brother Shajahan (27). Sumayya was eight months pregnant. The accident occurred on the M C Road near Kalavara Hotel in Pulluvazhi early Sunday morning at 3.30 am.

The incident happened when they were proceeding to Sumayya’s house in Mundakayam. The car in which they were travelling hit behind the lorry parked on the M C Road. Initial reports say the person on the driver’s seat may have dozed off which led to the accident. The bodies have been shifted to Perumbavoor taluk hospital and Perumbavoor Sanjo Hospital.
