Amid the outbreak of the Novel coronavirus, the central government had drawn flak for increasing fuel prices by Rs 3. Now, Kerala BJP vice president AP Abdullakutty has come up defending the centre's decision. According to Abdullakutty, the price hike will be beneficial for the country as the government will be able to garner an additional revenue of Rs 39 crore through it.
'There is no one in the Modi government who loots people's money and deposit it in the Swiss Bank. One should realize that the term of Chidambaram who looted money and deposited that amount in various bank accounts across the globe had come to an end. It is pretty clear that the revenue collected through the hike in fuel price will be safe with the sincere person like PM Modi,' he wrote on his official Facebook page.
