THRISSUR: The UK national confirmed of coronavirus and his team who were staying in Munnar had visited many places in Thrissur. He and his team had gone to see the Athirappilly Waterfalls and had attended a festival also.

The UK national and his team were in Thrissur on March 8. The hotels in Athirappilly and Cheruthuruthy from where they had food have been closed. With this, almost 56 people are under observation. Meanwhile, a detailed examination has revealed that the group of British citizens participated in the festival in Kuttanellur.

They shook hands with many among thousands who attended the festival and had also taken selfies with them. They left after going near the Paramekkavu Temple in the evening.

On this basis, the district has been given utmost caution. Many private buses have suspended services in Thrissur. KSRTC services have been cut short. Almost 2003 people in Thrissur are still under observation.
