THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Thiruvananthapuram district administration on Tuesday directed the deputy director of the Sree Chitra Institute to go under observation for coronavirus infection. Earlier, certain reports had suggested that the deputy director had joined duty immediately after returning from a tour to Spain.
It must be noted that the deputy director was present in the function which was attended by Union Minister V Muraleedharan. However, authorities at the Sree Chitra Institute are maintaining that the deputy director had joined duty after completing an observation period. However, the district administration has denied this and issued an order directing the deputy director to remain under observation for a period of 28 days.
