THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A decision has been taken to shift people coming from abroad to special observation centres. Nearly thousands of passengers are expected to reach Thiruvananthapuram airport Wednesday evening from 4 pm to 9 pm. The government is planning to take them to the observation centres in special buses. KSRTC has been asked to send 50 buses.
People coming from abroad are being shifted to the observation centres following the spread of coronavirus. The authorities in other airports are also planning to move in the similar manner.
Meantime, the KSRTC is against allotting so much buses. The government through Motor Vehicle Department sought buses from KSRTC.
However, KSRTC authorities reply was that there are difficulties in allotting 50 buses together. The Motor Vehicle Department has decided to give a report to the district collector after KSRTC informed their difficulty in allotting so much buses.
