MUSCAT: A Keralite in Oman has been tested positive of COVID 19. A native of Kannur working in Salala is under treatment there. He returned to Oman on March 13 after his vacation in Kerala.

On March 16, he was treated for fever and cough and his samples were sent for examination. He was confirmed of the disease yesterday.

The officials of the health department later shifted him to the hospital. The health department had confirmed nine cases including that of the Keralite Thursday night.

With this, the number of cases confirmed of corona in Oman has touched 48. So far, 13 people have got rid of the disease.
