KOCHI: Five new cases of novel coronavirus were reported in Kochi on Friday. Those who tested positive for the virus have been identified as the members of a tourist group from the UK. The patients have been shifted to the isolation ward at the Kalamassery Medical College.

It was minister VS Sunilkumar who revealed the news in a press conference. Meanwhile, the other 13 members of the group have tested negative for the coronavirus, the minister said. Earlier, the group was kept under observation after one of its members tested positive for the virus. At present, 30 people are undergoing treatment for coronavirus in the state.
