THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Section 144 has been imposed in Thiruvananthapuram district in the wake of Coronavirus infection. This was informed by district collector K Gopalakrishnan officially on Tuesday evening.

In districts such as Kasargod, Kozhikode, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Wayanad and Malappuram, Section 144 had already been declared over the past 24 hours.

The Prohibitory orders will be in effect till March 31.

Not more than five people will be allowed to gather at a place where the orders are in effect.

They would be allowed to move out of the house only for essential needs.

Those who come to Kerala from abroad or from other states should inform the health department. In hospitals, more than one bystander won’t be allowed.
Action will be taken against those who violate the government instructions under IPC 269, 188, 270, Kerala police act.
