KOTTAYAM: All hotels in Kottayam district have been closed on account of Corona anxieties prevailing in the State and world at large. The ‘out-eaters’ are currently depending on parcels from hotels. Toddy shops and bars are places where they can sit and have food.

But several shops have excluded rice from their menu and serving the customers only tapioca and fish curry. Those who are as hungry as a bear even this food combo is a great relief.

The most inconvenienced lot are migrant labours and those who don’t know the art of cooking. Most of them are finding satisfaction in bread and banana for their breakfast.

The toddy shop owners say that that are being sold out more are food and not toddy and would be preparing food more to do a good business.
