The news that Human Rights Commission has taken a case against actor Mohanlal is fake. The news was that the state human rights commission registered a case against the actor based on a complaint that he had circulated unscientific truths related to corona. PRO P M Binu Kumar came up with an explanation on it. He said the commission had neither seen the complaint against the actor nor had passed an order.

‘Some online media had posted a news that the state human rights commission had taken a case against the actor. A complaint was obtained online against the actor’s statement on corona. The complaint was numbered as a natural procedure. The commission had neither seen the complaint nor had passed an order. Please notice this,’ clarified Binu Kumar.

The complaint was lodged by one Dinu Veyil. He publicised through a Facebook post that a case has been registered against the actor.
