THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Hours after the novel coronavirus claimed a life in Kerala, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan announced that six more persons have tested positive for the virus in the state on Saturday. Out of these six cases, two are from Thiruvananthapuram while one each case were reported from Kollam, Palakad, Malappuram and Kasargod districts.

The deceased has been identified as a native of Mattanchery in Ernakulam who was undergoing treatment at the Kalamassery Medical College Hospital. He was 69 years old. The person had recently returned from Dubai and had been under home isolation for a few days. He was later admitted to the hospital on March 22. He had also been a high BP and heart patient.

As of now, 165 persons are undergoing treatment for coronavirus in the state.
