THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The salary challenge executed during the first floods in Kerala is back now. The chief minister has requested employees to donate their one month’s salary for corona control activities. He held separate talks with organisational leaders regarding it. The government reviewed that the money obtained can be used for corona control activities.

Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala said they will cooperate with the salary challenge. He also demanded a reduction in the salary of one month. The state government had announced a salary challenge to rebuild Kerala in 2018. The demand was to donate one month’s salary to the chief minister’s relief fund. Authorities said 80% of the employees agreed to it. Though organisations owing allegiance to the ruling front supported this, organisations favouring the opposition disagreed to it.
