ALAPPUZHA: Frustrated at not being able to get liquor due to the nationwide lockdown, yet another man committed suicide in Kerala, police said. The deceased has been identified as Rameshan (40), a native of Puthuppally in Kayamkulam.
It must be noted that the state has already witnessed 7 suicides due to the unavailability of liquor as beverage outlets across the state were closed due to the nationwide lockdown. Following this, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had stated that the government is considering to supply liquor to those suffering from alcoholism as per doctor's prescriptions.
