THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Health Minister K K Shailaja has said there is no chance for Community transmission of Corona disease at Pothencode.
“Abdul Azeez, who died at Pothencode on Tuesday, had come into contact with certain people who had returned from Gulf countries. But it is not clear whether he had contracted disease from them. We have yet to get clarity on this.
It is difficult to trace persons who had come into close contact with him and hence, those who have doubts on this should remain under observation.
Those who feel any discomfort should subject themselves to lab tests. There is no need for any panic and all under observation should strictly follow government instructions.
Meanwhile, Minister Kadakampally Surendran said the health officials are yet to trace the person from whom Abdul Azeez had contracted the disease. There is no clarity on this but the government has got some hints about it.
“When the patient reached the hospital, he was not in a position to recollect places he had visited or persons with whom he had come into contact with.
The health department has asked all people who had attended the functions participated by the man to go into quarantine,” the minister said, adding that there was no need for unnecessary scare .
