KOZHIKODE: Former Kerala footballer KV Usman Koya (74) passed away in Kozhikode after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Popularly known as Dempo Usman, he was a stopper back of Kerala's first Santosh Trophy-winning team in 1973.

Usman had also represented Kerala in the Santhosh trophy tournament in 1968.

He had also played for Dempo Goa SC, Calicut Young Challengers, Premium Tyres and Titanium.
