KASARGOD: One more critically ill patient in Kasargod lost his life after he was denied access to the hospital in Mangaluru by Karnataka police at the Kerala-Karnataka border on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Shekhar(49) from Manjeshwaram. According to sources, Shekhar had been undergoing treatment for heart ailments at a hospital in Mangaluru. On Tuesday, he started experiencing chest pain and was rushed to the hospital in Mangaluru. However, the Karnataka police refused to let his ambulance pass the border.
Following this, he was taken to a hospital in Kasargod. However, doctors were unable to save his life. With this, the number of people who lost their lives due to the blockade has become six.
