THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala reported 21 new cases of coronavirus on Thursday including a 27-year-old pregnant woman from Kollam. Of the 21 new cases, 8 were reported from Kasargod, 5 from Idukki, 2 from Kollam and one each from Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Malappuram, Thrissur, Kannur and Kozhikode.
Two persons who had attended the Nizamuddin congregation in Delhi has tested positive for coronavirus, chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan said during the press meet.
At present, 256 people are undergoing treatment for coronavirus in various hospitals across the state. 1,65,934 people are kept under observation in the state. Out of this, 1,65,291 are under home quarantine while 643 are admitted to various hospitals. The CM also urged the public not to socially boycott the families of coronavirus patients. He also added that he had demanded the PM to ensure that the supply of essential goods to the state will not be disturbed.
