KOCHI: They have been waiting, counting days, to get back to their country. Thank God, it ended today. 53 Oman natives who had been stranded in Kerala flew from Nedumbassery to Mascot in the evening in Oman Airs.

The special flight from Muscat reached Kochi by 2:30 pm. It took 53 Oman nationals after subjecting them to special screening. The flight also had stop-overs at Bangalore and Chennai, from where some more Oman nationals were picked.

By evening the flight left for Oman.

Meanwhile, Air India is also holding special service to take stranded French nationals to their homeland.

A flight will reach Nedumbassery from Bengaluru on Saturday morning. From here, at 8 am, it will carry French nationals to Mumbai and from there to Paris.

The foregin nationals had come to India for various treatment including Ayurvedic treatment March first week. The respective embassies had contacted Inida to facilitate their smooth trasit to their homelands
