ALAPPUZHA: Kayamkulam MLA U Prathibha has vehemently censured media persons for reporting her verbal duel with a few local DYFI leaders recently.

“Street prostitutes have a better dignity than this. You will have to wash their feet and drink that water. I would rather you resort to flesh trade, be you a male or female,” she made this scathing comment in a video posted on her Facebook page.

Earlier, the local leaders had commented that when, world over, Corvid preventive activists were going on, MLA Prathibha was remaining locked up in her house.

The MLA countered this by saying that there were bigger viruses than Corona outside. Making an indirect attack on the leaders, she said “as soon as the Covid restrictions were over, it would be necessary to call Vava Suresh and bring out poisonous snakes from their burrows”.

Meanwhile, CPM Alappuzha district leadership and DYFI State Committee have intervened in the issue.
