THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A special medical team from Thiruvananthapuram Medical College has left for Kasargad, the worst affected by the deadly corornavirus. The trip was flagged off by Health Minister K K Shailaja. The medical team left for Kasargod as more cases are being reported from the district and closure of the border by Karnataka denying treatment for the sick.

The team led by Thiruvananthapuram medical college deputy superintendent S Santhosh Kumar contains ten doctors, ten nurses and five nursing assistants. They will erect a temporary hospital and start functioning.
