KASARGOD: In Kasargod, the police have intensified their action against lockdown violators and those who violated house quarantine. On Sunday itself, 28 cases were registered in Kasargod subdivision and more than 100 persons were arrested.

150 vehicles were seized and special shadow police were deputed to catch those who violated home quarantine. The police filed cases against 28 persons who were under home quarantine and they were shifted to hospitals for observation. In Kasargod sub-division itself, about 1000 policemen have been deputed to catch lockdown violators.

Kasargod district police chief P S Sabu and Kasargod DySP P Balakrishnan have said stringent action will initiated against people who moved around before 11 am and after 5 pm.
